ERM’s approach aligns with evolving UK Health and Safety Legislation and policy adopted by the UK Health and Safety Executive and the UK Energy Networks Association. We strive to achieve excellence in the application of this policy.
We recognise that it is not always cost effective to blindly adopt certain recommendations in current national or international standards.
A more effective way to deliver enhanced safety requires the use of Risk Management, centred on advanced risk assessment techniques. In fact this rationale is now increasingly being used by standard setting bodies.
Not only does this mean optimised safety performance, but also significant cost savings; and not simply those associated with say a reduced earthing system. For example, avoiding the need for unnecessary mitigation for transferred potential hazards can yield considerable savings, both in financial and public relations terms.
